These are the most common type of carton, used mainly for shipping goods. The outer flaps meet in the centre and are usually taped closed. They are cost effective and easy to use.
RSC (Regular Slotted Case)
RSCs are very versatile, and great for a variety of applications. There are different options for the opening, so when you order we’ll advise you on what will work best for your product. In this picture, the 3 RSCs are the same size but open on different sides. It may be better to have the opening on the large side or the narrow side, and cheaper to manufacture one way than another.
The FOF RSC (fully overlapping flap RSC) is a variation of the RSC. The longer flaps give more protection on the top and bottom. If the bottom of the box is square, there will be four layers of board on the top and bottom.
Uses: machinery components, export.
Note: it is possible to have a box with FOF bottom flaps and butting top flaps.
